Technology System Solutions (TSS) is a 501c3 charitable organization registered to do business and accept donations in the State of North Carolina. Donations may be deductible from your federal, state or local income taxes. Be sure to ask for a receipt if you plan to deduct the value of your donation from your taxes.
TSS accepts many different types of later model computer equipment. A donated desktop or laptop computer can be working or non-working, generally though, use your best judgment as to whether your old computer equipment is still usable. Working peripheral equipment, such as printers, keyboards, mice, and the like, make good donations.
TSS can also use extra computer parts in good working order, power and printer cables, multi-gigabyte-sized hard drives, and later model memory (RAM). Especially needed are the cords and cabling that go with your donated computer.
If you have a lot of computers to donate (20+) and are within 50 miles , we can arrange to pickup your donation for free. Please email us to arrange for pickups.
Personal Donation of used computer equipment
Make an appointment to drop your donation – Donations are accepted by drop-off appointment only at our office Monday through Friday 9:00 AM- 5:00 PM. Please call ahead to schedule an appointment: 919-930-4316. Our address is: 900 South Vance Street, Suite 700, Sanford, NC, 27330.
- Consider a cash donation along with your equipment – Please consider a monetary donation to help with our refurbishing costs. The average cost for us to refurbish a computer and award it to a person in need is $75. Your gift will help us put your equipment donation to good use.
- Print and fill out Technology System Solutions Equipment Donation Receipt – Fill out the receipt prior to arriving to make the donation process faster.
